fresh to cooked spinach

I have a recipe that calls for 8 cups of fresh before cooking- but the recipe also does not have serving size- so my question is 8 cups fresh 8 cups cooked?

    You'll only end up with about 1 1/2 cup cooked. It really REALLY shrinks down, but is SO good!

    You can also use a high quality frozen to save money.
