Good question! I'd like to know too. Whey, soy, other (?) differences and benefits?0

Whey protein is absorbed the fastest and most quickly by your body, but doesn't last a long time, whereas milk proteins are digested slower. I don't know the details on all various proteins -- I just know whey is your best choice post-workout.0

I thought whey protein was a milk protein?
Anywho, it depends on your personal goals for using the protein shakes. I personally try to avoid soy whenever possible, as it's not good for someone with thyroid issues. I've used whey, rice, and pea proteins, seperately or in combination. You just have to find what tastes best to you. Remember, not all fat should be avoided!0 -
I'm not sure how "in depth' you're looking to read. This website might help, though.

With the absorption, though, the general consensus seems pretty simple ~ ~ whey protein throughout the day and casein before retiring for the night.
Best of luck to you! Have a TERRIFIC TUESDAY!! :happy:0
