Since about two weeks into my weight loss journey my skin feels like a dried up flaky mess anyone have any ideas how to help this? I drink tons of water at least a gallon. Under the flaky dry skin on my face its semi-oily? Any help would be appreciated

You need to make sure you are getting enough fats in your diet. When I eat too little or not enough fats, my skin and hair get dry, brittle, flaky and I lose hair.

Take a good multivitamin when on any calorie restriction diet, too.

Make sure you are eating enough calories, too. That is the first thing to look at.

I take a flax oil supplement almost every day - it`s a great source of omega-3 fats, and since starting it, my skin is better, and so are my nails and hair.

    Whats your fat% set to?
If you are a low fat believer you can have very dry skin.

If you have macros set to Protein 30% and Fat 30% the hormones and skin issues go away.

I don't know what you're eating or how long you've been doing this, but one possibility, and I'm not an expert, is that you could be flushing your system of toxins if you're eliminating processed foods/sugars from your diet. Or your showers could be too hot, or you could be using the wrong soap.

Dry skin could be so man different things!

I agree with taking a multivitamin and a fish oil/omega 3 pill. Also drink lots of water and stay hydrated.
Also get some quality lotion (Aveeno is my choice) and put it on right after you get out of the shower and at night.

In addition to all the things suggested here, I have eczema so I naturally have problems with dry skin, and I use Gold Bond Shea Butter and it works wonders. But do make sure your nutritional needs are being met as well.

this. and add flax seeds to foods. ground, or whole after you've soaked them in boiling water for a few minutes. a tablespoon in oatmeal is great for crunch. chia seeds and sunflower seeds are good too.

you could be going through detox, fats could be too low so here is what I'd suggest...take flax seed and a good multi vit. then mix olive oil with sugar white and brown and mix in spices like cinamon.....jump in shower and scrub all over....skin will feel refreshed and moisturised...the olive oil is amazing on your skin. Do this about twice a week.
