30 Day Shred in 15 days?

Ok, so. If I did the 30 day shred in 15 days (2 workouts/day, 5 days/level), what are the chances I'd get (approximately) the same effects as doing 1 workout/day for 30 days? Mathematically, it makes sense that this would work. Thoughts?

I was thinking this today while I was on the treadmill (I did the Shred first, then went to the gym a couple of hours later...). I'd be interested to see the responses!

    I woudn't recommend it.

Your body/muscles need rest in order to change. The math may come out nice, but I guarantee you won't get the same results.

Okay, I hate to crush anyone's dreams, but a lot of people doing 30 Day Shred don't post significant pound loss - just measurement changes. I lost like 2-4 pounds over the month, but I lost six inches off my waist alone. So to say that you'll lose 10 pounds in 2 weeks is pretty unlikely.

ETA: Pretty unlikely if you aren't terribly far from your goal weight. I'm currently 25 pounds give or take from my goal. I see people significantly farther from their goal post huge losses, and I don't know your specific situation.

I agree with a previous post - while on paper it sounds good, part of the beauty of 30 Day Shred is you are making the changes each day, slowly, while creating a small calorie deficit. It's amazing to see how your ability to handle the workouts changes in just 10 days of the same. But if you decrease everything, you'll be over working your muscles (if you're doing it right!) and not giving yourself the chance to recoup and build the strength. So while you'll see results, it won't be what you would see in the normal 30 days.

I wanted to throw this in for you - I did 30 Day Shred, and as I said I didn't lose a lot of weight, just a lot of inches. Then I started Ripped, but still wasn't losing weight. So I paired it with Extreme Shed and Shred, which is a little more cardio oriented, and that did the trick. The pounds started coming off. So now I focus on getting a few cardio type opportunities in each week, and that's really helped me make the scale change. So you're probably going to see both benefits with going to the gym and doing 30DS.
  • I agree with the above poster. I am currently 2 days away from finishing Level 2. When I finished Level 1, I retook my measurements and reweighed myself. I lost 5.5 inches total and 5lbs, which I was not surprised on, I went from not working out AT ALL, to doing this video once a day, during the work week (my weekends are my rest days), patience is the key to this program. Jillian, herself, will tell you, its VERY important to take your measurements before you start the program, and every 10 days (once you finish each level), to NOT relay on the scale itself, because majority of people doing this program will lose more inches than pounds.
