Joseph Rao Kony (born 1961 in Odek, Uganda[1]) is a Ugandan guerrilla group leader, head of the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA), a group engaged in a violent campaign to establish theocratic government based on the Ten Commandments throughout Uganda.[1] The LRA say that God has sent spirits to communicate this mission directly to Kony.[4]

Directed by Kony, the LRA has earned a reputation for its actions against the people of several countries, including northern Uganda, the Democratic Republic of Congo, South Sudan and Sudan. It has abducted and forced an estimated 66,000 children to fight for them, and has also forced the internal displacement of over 2,000,000 people since its rebellion began in 1986.[5] As a result, in 2005 Kony was indicted for war crimes by the International Criminal Court at the Hague, but has succeeded in evading capture since.[6]

No, I'm pretty sure he was absolutely deadly serious. Like most of the proponents of child-abduction around here. It surely was not sarcastic based on the fact that his group is called the Lord's Resistance Army and that he claims a mandate from God to establish a theocracy in Uganda. Nope. All about supporting the abductions.

KONY2012 is not about making him look good .. it is about making people aware of what he is doing and then doing something about it.

    Watch the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4MnpzG5Sqc&sns=tw

it is amazing to me the impact that people have in the world and my biggest worry is my weight.

Ahhh, I see. Sarcasm. One can never tell on the internet since there isn't any real way to convey inflection or 'tone' in a persons text. Thanks for replying so nicely! I truly appreciate your efforts to reply to someone on the internet.

Thanks for posting that video Helovesme87!

I was going to post some sort of smiley after my post about "God's work," but none properly conveyed the serious disgust I felt. Sorry that I was unclear.
