from couch to 5k plan

hey everyone,
i just started ripped in 30 by Jillian Michaels, but i also started the plan from couch to 5k.
it is a 9week plan that works you up to a 5k stretch of jogging through 3 workouts per week and 9 weeks of accelerated workouts.
it is really easy and great to start, and would love to see if anyone else was interested in doing this.

you can get the information at.

it has the full workout routine on it.

I downloaded a couch to 5k app, but I haven't really went by the book with it. I am up to week 6, but I bounce back to different weeks depending on how I am feeling. Running for 20 minutes with about 100 extra pounds is pretty rough on the knees, so if they are bothering me (like tonight), I will go back to week one and do the intervals... just trying to increase speed.

It is a neat app, and it works to build up your endurance. Not sure how doing JM and c25k would work out together, I would be exhausted!!!

My ultimate goal is to drop enough weight to do it successfully to the end, then sign up for a race =)

    Good Luck!

I am interested. I have started a few different times with different programs. The most I've gotten up to is running 1 1/2 miles very very slow. Wish me luck

I am on Week 2, Day 1. I slogged through a few races last year, but felt the need for a simple back-to-basics program that doesn't expect too much from me. (Read as: My husband isn't doing this with me--whereas we used to *try* running together.) I'd love to connect with others doing this to see how it's going for others.
