Just another random thing that popped into my head....

If John Hughes was still alive & they made a high school reunion movie with the characters from The Breakfast Club, what do you think John Bender, Andrew Clark, Brian Johnson, Claire Standish, & Allison Reynolds would be doing today?

After falling in love with the grunge scene in the 1990's Allison decides to go on to cooking school. Upon graduation, she lands a job baking some of the most unusual, yet extremely tasty muffins in the Chicago area. She goes on to open her own business and becomes quite successful, yet retains her peculiar demeanor.
Andrew goes on to win a full scholarship in wrestling at Eastern Illinois University, where he also earns a teaching degree. He ends up becoming a P.E. teacher. But since most public schools in America no longer have Physical Education in their curriculum, he divides his time between being a wrestling coach, and managing at a Big 5 sporting goods store. He is married, has 2 kids, and has become his overbearing dad.
Brian also goes on to college. Before he graduates, he gets a call from a guy named Bill Gates who wants him to design a computer protocol that would allow users to more readily access information. Even tho he goes on to become fabulously wealthy, he still has problems in his abilities to foster personal relationships. After years of recreational drug use, and low self esteem, he begins visiting health clubs. With the help of steroids, he becomes a muscle head jerk. He has avoided all high school reunions in the past, but decides he is going to his 30 year reunion against the advise from his psychiatrist. (whom he thinks he has a personal relationship with) So that he can flash his wealth, and try to pick fights with those who made fun of him in the past.
Claire finds work at the beauty counter in Nordstroms. After a year or so, the store manager threatens to fire her if her loser boyfriend (John) keeps visiting her at work, asking for money, and harassing customers. Looking to regain the popularity she lost when she began dating him, She moves to New York, where she finds work as a make up artist on Broadway. She falls in love with an actor, gets married, aand has a child. To further his acting career, they move to Hollywood where he gets some small parts in a few B movies. Claire finds work in the makeup market, and in the late 90's launches her own direct beauty supply website. Feeling the stress of becoming a househusband, and having a very busy wife, he begins having affairs. They divorce, and Claire gets mentioned on the Oprah Winfrey show.
John becomes homeless when school ends. For a while, he is able to sleep in Claires garage, but eventually her dad kicks him out. Claire gets a cheap one bedroom apartment, and for a while they live together. When Claire leaves, John takes up with some new biker friends. He is never able to hold a job, and he is frequently in and out of prison for small time drug charges, But he does have an ability to talk his way out of doing any real time behind bars He has several children with different women that he never visits, nor acknowledges. In his mid 30's he meets a young lady, and proceeds to sponge off of her. They have children, but John is always the biggest child in the house.

Probably wouldn't make a very interesting sequel, lol

It is Hollywood after all so...

Societal pressures remained too much for John and Claire to ever get together during high school. Her father funded her college degree in art history and she put it to use by working for MoMA. She is still single, having always wondered what might have been if she hadn't turned her back on John.

John trains as a mechanic but eventually ends up defending himself against his abusive father. He serves time in prison for second degree murder, getting out just in time to attend the reunion. He has also wondered what "might have been" with Claire.

Andrew and Allison have a brief fling during their remaining time in school. He gets a football scholarship and ends up as coach for a university football team. She ends up pregnant before graduation and drops out of school, seemingly her usual flaky persona. Andrew always wonders what happened to her but never finds out about the kid until Allison introduces Andrew to his son at the reunion.

Brian graduates high school early and heads off to college on an academic scholarship. He is hired by Apple before graduation to streamline the Macintosh portable into the Powerbook. He writes code that eventually turns into "System 7", cementing his legacy at Apple and making him tons of money. He eventually meets a sweet, smart girl and they end up happily married with a sweet, smart family.
