I am working hard on getting the water that I need in daily, but my question is if I have a water bottle that holds 24oz how many times do I have to fill that up to get in my daily water intake?

Most say 8 - 8 oz cups daily, (some say more or less due to sodium intake or exercising, etc).
If you're aiming for the 8 cups (like I do) - 3x would give you 9 cups0 -
Exactly what Candi said. If you want to get the 64oz that some say is the "norm", 3 fills ups/day will get you there. I try to do at least 7/day and have found that some days that is extremely hard for me, while other days its not. Drink when you're thirsty, and in between meals to help suppress hunger.0

I"ve heard a couple of different things... 8-8 oz glasses....and I've ALSO heard drink HALF of your body weight in water a day (YES, HALF YOUR BODY WEIGHT) I'll stick with the 64 oz, please...and if I'm extra thirsty, I'll drink more! I would really like to spend my day being productive than being in the bathroom all day! :-)0

Call me crazy but I have a 32 oz. bottle and I probably fill it up 6 times a day or more. Everyone is right about the 64 oz. I guess I have just acquired a taste for it.0

I've heard that it's best to drink half of your body weight in ounces. So...if you're 100 pounds you need to consume at least 50 ounces of water. Water is so good for us! When I consistently drink enough water, I always have better weight loss experience. Good luck to you!0

64 oz or 8 8oz cups of water is the general recommendation.
However, a more specific recommendation I have heard over and over is half your body weight in ounces.
I weigh 130 lbs so I need to drink 65oz at least. But, I do drink a lot extra due to exercise making me thirsty and I use water to try to suppress appetite/cravings.0 -
You need the equivalent of 8 cups of water a day on average, from any source. These sources can be pure water/tea/coffee/juice/soda/milk/fruit/veg etc. It does NOT have to be pure neat water!

As for tea/coffee being a diuretic, so many people just spout that word as a reason, without actually understanding what "diuretic" means.

Neat water is also a diuretic. The diuretic effect of caffeine is far, far outweighed by the actual water in the tea/coffee. Also, regular consumers of caffeinated beverages will build up a tolerance to said effect, eventually reaching the point where caffeinated drinks provide practically the same amount of hydration as a cup of neat water will.

This calculator will tell you exactly how much water you should be drinking daily based on your weight and activity level. Most of us don't get enough water. 64 oz is hardly enough for me. The heavier we are, the more water we need.
Careful, though, don't go too far in the other direction!

According to what someone said in the 40s, which is based on absolutely nothing but has been repeated nonstop ever since because it's easier than reading actual research, you need 64oz of water per day. So 2.6 refills of that cup.
Also people believe that drinking water somehow "cleans" the body. No, your body cleans your body. It's a filtering system, not a clogged drain pipe. If you force too much material through a filter, what do you think happens?0 -

You don't actually need to drink ANY pure water. As long as you get your hydration for other sources, real water wont make any noticeable difference as far as fat loss goes.0

I do 8-8oz but what I do is buy those DASANI 33.8 oz bottles and drink two of them. That way I am not getting myself down by the fact that I have 4 or 3 more bottles to drink.0
