Video Workout for Bad Knees?

Hi all,

I have knee problems (they tend to dislocate if strained - ouch) and was wondering if there are general fitness videos out there that go easy on the knees?

    Has your doctor been able to tell you why this happens? Perhaps the first step, if it's due to a muscular imbalance, would be to see a physiotherapist to deal with the knee issues first.
  • yeah, it's congenital. I am missing part of the muscle that holds the patella in place. I did get some corrective surgery around 20 years ago but it wasn't a 100% fix.

    My knee does the same thing so if anyone knows a workout that would be great. Mine happens because I was born with a dislocated knee cap and I've blown it at least 6 - 8 times over the years. I can't do squats or lunges because of the pressure they put on my knee. So anything that goes easy on knee but still helps strengthen it would be great.

    It is but u can modify the workouts! To ur own comfort level!

    Good to know! Are there suggested mods or do I have to figure it out on my own? I don't feel qualified... ;)

    there is a modifier for 30 DS but the basics of it is just don't do the moves as deep. I had a couple of knee injuries in high school and since then I have always had a problem with lunges. I don't even begin to try to do the lunges as deep and never do any jumping lunges.
