If you have a desk job, where you aren't walking around all day, are there any workouts you do at your desk that actually burn calories?

Besides walking around the office 5 min. of every hour? If anyone's got any suggestions, I'd love to hear them too!0

I walk twice a day indoors and in the summer the company built a 1.5 mile walking path on the property so I walk that when the weather permits.. you could have some small weights in your office and use them whenever possible. Im tempted to do some short HIIT sessions. LOL0

I wish I could get up and walk around, but sadly, that isn't possible for me. I leave my desk a few times to use the ladies room and a few times to make copies or fax soemthing. Otherwise, I'm strictly at my desk working, plus I'm constantly using my hands at work so I can't lift weights, plus the other ladies here will think I'm nuts
Great suggestions though! Maybe I need to strap weights to my feet and pick my feet up off the ground from my chair all day

I've actually seen a few people do this. Instead of an office chair, use a stability ball.
This will keep your core engaged the whole time you are sitting on it!0 -

I saw someone post yesterday that they keep a mini stationary bike (I guess just one of the pedal things) under their desk so that they can "ride" all day. I thought that was pretty clever.
I have also heard of using the stability ball as a chair, but have never done it.
I remember seeing some at-desk exercises on another site once. You could probably Google it. I know it had things like wall/desk pushups. My dad does those, but using the kitchen counter, since he isn't able to do full push-ups.0
