It is ground up and grown in muscle and fat as filler... how do you get that without killing the animal. This is disgusting, regardless.

"Disgusting" is subjective. Please stop trying to put your "morals" onto other people.

It is my opinion on the matter. I have no issues with people consuming meat, i worry about the heallth risks of food grown in labs. I have every right to share my opinions.

I'm an ethical vegetarian, yet I think I would still hesitate eating meat grown in a vat. Now this excites me:

I like how you chose such an unbiased source to get your news on the subject.

What exactly is the protocol on bumping your own threads?

And yeah, that article is more of an opinion piece than a true news article.

Eurgh!! Sadly, it's not enough to turn me vegetarian!

Maybe it will urge you to just not eat creepy fast food and go for the healthier homecooked option. It twitches and pulsates while growing.. thats enough for me. Ewwww >_<

well I will only eat it if it twitches and pulsates AS I am eating it,I really like it when my meat pulsates

    good for vegetarians

Not really (1) it's still meat, and therefore not vegetarian; (2) they're still using by-products of animal slaughter to produce this "meat;" and (3) at best, they are predicting they could take the cells from live animals, I don't even want to know about that harvesting process.

While there probably won't be a market for this stuff in the U.S. anytime soon, many people in the world don't have the luxury of turning their nose up at this.

It's actually incredibly expensive at this point, only people in the first world will have the "luxury" of eating this product anytime soon.

Mmm cow fetuses. At least it would save me the time of harvesting them from humans anymore.
