Well those pictures sure do put things into perspective lol. I can't even imagine 5 gallons of almond butter being carried around every day by us...Anyways you look absolutely amazing! Keep up the great work

I love this! Such a great idea to gain some perspective on how well you've done!0

I love that comparison. Sometimes I look at stuff that weighs as much as I have lost and I cannot believe I used to carry that weight around. You look great, well done!0

I thought a different kind of ‘success story’ might be nice, so here are a few every-day representations of how much weight I’ve shed to date – 40lbs, with some help frm Google and their image search.
5 gallons of Almond Butter:
This beautiful chair:
Large bag of water-softening salt
This super awesome Celestron Telescope
These awesome light fixtures:
Star Dart carnival midway game:
A kindergartener:
Large bag of ax-E-Glo™ Stabilized Rice Bran *horse feed* Dimensions: 24 in × 18 in × 6 in
Giant fish:
Five 8 lb bowling balls:
And last but not least:
Anyway, you get the idea. It’s amazing to thing that I was carrying this much weight on my body CONSTANTLY every single day. How much have you lost? What’s it look like? Feel free to post pictures too!
I love this post! GREAT JOB!!0 -
AWESOME you rock....don't stop now...gogogo :flowerforyou: :drinker:0

EXcellent post! You made me laugh!! My favorites are the carp and the kindergardener....so great! And thank you for the great visuals, i've lost 30 pounds altogether--before and during MFP--and those pictures brought it home to me just how much weight that actually is. i think i had developed body-blindness before i decided to start getting healthier, and now that i'm on the road i have a hard time seeing the difference. But it's almost a giant carp or a kindergardener!! LOL!!!! Love your way of looking at things. :happy:0

I absolutely LOVE this post!! What a fun idea. My goal is to lose about 40 pounds total, so this gave me even more incentive. I am down 14 lbs so far - I think I need to look for some things that weigh 14 lbs now as a reference.
Thank you so much for the extra motivation! And you look fantastic, by the way! Congrats on all your hard work, it sure is paying off!!0 -
This thread is fantastic! I hadn't thought of comparing it to something. I started googling, turns out I have lost the equivalent of either-
a petrol lawn mower
a large safe
an assisted wheelchair
a large business laser printer
I am blown away- and I know I will carry on with determination and drive!0 -
What a great idea!! Congratulations!0
