Feeling guilty

AmandaGettingMarried
edited November 2024 in Motivation and Support
I have some days where I go way over calories - honestly only happens once every three weeks or so, but I feel so guilty!

What do you do to counteract the over-indulgence?

Eat less the next day, and stop associating guilt with food. That's inappropriate.
  • Refocus the next day and make up for it. That's about all you can do. Guilt just makes things worse. You deserve to splurge now and then! :)

This is a lifestyle change.....so overinduldging once in a while should fit in just fine! And I agree about not feeling guilty!
  • refocus, eat better the following days, and add in some extra workout/exercise time. Don't feel guilty! Enjoy the food and enjoy getting tot your goals. Guilt just causes stress which promotes weight gain. Everything in moderation! I do spike days myself once a week - helps keep the metabolism on its toes (for me at least).

Personally, I don't care if I overeat one day. Just means I maintained that day instead of lost any weight.

Whenever I eat too much I take it as my body telling me that I need more nutrients to fuel my lifestyle

If you are only going over in calories every three weeks you are a freakin champ!! Spike days are good now and then and IMO keep you from feeling deprived. You are doing great.....no guilt necessary!
