My searches so up in a new tab...HELP ME PLEASE!!!

Okay, I've searched the net for answers and can not figure this out! Usually, I'm pretty good at computers.

When I search for something...let's say...Tangled birthday party supplies and the list of links/search results show up. WHY IS NOW THAT WHEN I CLICK ON ONE OF THE LINKS IT SHOWS UP IN A NEW TAB AT THE TOP?? I haven't changed any settings and it just started to happen 2 days ago. So irritating! I will have 5 tabs open where I've looked at different links. Then I have to click back into the orginial tab to go to the next link. Any ideas???

    Anyone have any ideas? I'm going nuts! My husband said his computer at work started doing it as well a while back. Something with IE?
