Primal at Panera

I meet with friends every week at Panera and I am trying to figure out if there is anything there that is primal safe. Does anyone know of anything? I know they have salad's but I don't know what is in their dressings. I could always make my own food and take it, we give Panera enough money that they would let me bring my own food but I would like to not have to worry about that.

Thanks!

See if they have an olive and vinegar dressing. Or ask if the dressing is gluten free. It may not be entirely primal, but you are avoiding the biggest bad guy (wheat) and you could count it as your twenty percent.

Also, soups might be okay. Again, ask if they are gluten free. Don't worry about being annoying with your requests. Its your health!

Also, how long have you been primal? I've been doing it for about 2.5 months and I feel so much better!!!!

If you ask, Panera has a binder with all of their recipies in it. Also, their website has a full break down of everything they serve. Like say you order a salad, you can get its nutrition information with all the variables, no nuts, more nuts, no cheese, no dressing, whatever. its really a great tool! Sorry I wasn't more direct help with primal eating but, i do love to go there because everything is so set out for you.
  • Thank you to both of you.

iamstaceywood, I have used that tool before and I can't believe I forgot about it, lol.

spngebobmyner, I have a gluten intolerant coworker and there is a chicken salad he gets there that is gluten free. I am trying to figure out what dressing would have sugar in it. I will have to ask about oil and vinegar.

I started last saturday with the primal stuff so I am still in the weird transitional carb withdrawal stage.

that weird no carb feeling is definitely challenging. You will get over it soon. Best of luck to you.
