  • Try tuna sandwhiches. You have bread and tuna and do you keep mayo on hand. I also use nuts in it and apples but you can make a very healthy tuna sandwhiches with it. Van ou two year old do sandwhiches yet?
  • You can also do mixed veggies, sliced ham, and baked beans.

Do you have a couple eggs?
If so, then take the tinned tuna/salmon & add an egg. Mix well & make them into mini tuna/salmon patties. Coat each side with a bit of flour & fry with a small amount of olive oil. You can eat them plain or on some sandwich bread.

I see pasta/mac and "cheese" in there immediately.

Two year old might balk though but

2tbsp spread/butter, 1cup water, 1cup milk, 4 oz pasta (or so), 1 bag (12 oz or so) frozen veg, pinch 'o salt all together in a pan or pot big enough to hold. . . bring to boil and stir fairly often until the pasta is done (gotta keep at it or it WILL stick/scald)

    Remove from heat.

    WAIT

And, wait until things settle down and start stirring in bits of cheese (normally, I use grated Parmesan here, but any cheese will work)

    Tada!

Problem is most kids don't like things mixed together like that. Mine like plain rice with soy sauce and veggies on the side.

saute butter with flour. Stir in milk to make a white sauce. Salt and pepper to taste. Add frozen mixed vegetables and canned salmon.
Put in a casserole. Cover the top with the pastry sheets. Bake until the pastry is done.
    Voila! Pot pie.

Hint: It may be helpful to slice the pastry into serving size squares before putting them on the top, so they don't squish into the casserole when you try to cut them cooked.

Grilled peanut butter and banana sandwich. . .

my dad likes mayo on his, and I know that's the "traditional" thing but just because that's the way it's always been done doesn't mean it's not incredibly stupid (I still love you, Dad).
