  • Everyone's bodies are different and therefore work in different ways! If you lose weight eating more food then keep doing that, but make sure to listen to your body and only give it what it wants when it is telling you it needs it!

    Good luck :)

without being able to see anything about you (no information, no photo, no diary) nobody on this site is able to help you.

You may be overweight, underweight, exercising a lot, not enough - without providing more information on yourself on this site all you will be able to get back from this kind of post is sympathy.

Do you want help or sympathy?

That statement depends on your maintenance and if you found it.

Telling someone a 1200-1700 calorie a day female to eat less more is absurd. That people will not lose anymore weight.

While everyone is different. No one is above the laws of science. You eat above your maintenance you gain. You eat below you lose. Simple as that.

It really is. That's why there's no real need to use fad diets. It's all about the calories, man! I you can count (or, better yet, use a site like MFP), you can lose weight.

Your body has some natural defenses against this. To some degree there is some real science behind "starvation mode". But the effects are more negative health and feeling effects. Fundamentally you cannot, in the long term, eat less, exercise more, and gain weight. You may gain weight for a little while, depending how small the extra gap is (some nasty things can happen like organ function can decrease, decreasing resting calorie burn, and causing a bunch of other unwanted health effects)

There was a health science professor who lost 27 pounds during a semester (4 month block) eating exclusively Twinkies and vegetables. Twinkies breakfast and lunch 5 days a week, and vegetables for dinner and on weekends.

Weight loss over short term periods is very very very unreliable. You shouldn't consider weight as "lost" unless it's been gone for 2 weeks. You can jump up or drop down 5-8 pounds depending on the fluid level in your body, the contents of your digestive system, infection or lymph fluid retention... Clothing alone can bring a variance of 5 pounds.

    Listen to your doctor.

I was talking in a broad sense. Of course I am not saying eat 1000 calories per day.
