It seems like I have been stuck at the same weight for a long time. I work out everyday at least 1000 calories but then Im ravenously hungry and binge at least double that back. After binging Im still not full and feel horrible. Any ideas on what to do?

What are you eating? 1000 calories is a ton of food if you eat the right things, but if you eat junk it's not much.

If you're burning 1,000 calories per day, no wonder you're hungry! Are you sure you're eating "at least double that back"? Are you actually recording what you eat and the calories involved? It's possible that you've still got a nice calorie deficit going, even though you binge a little at times.

Either way, this is a behavioral issue. If you don't like what you're doing, you must decide to stop, and then do it.

You need to be eating foods that are going to keep you full. For example for lunch I eat rice and chicken and that fills me up. However If i eat something thats not based around that for lunch then I am pretty darn hungry. You need to find foods that are going to keep you fuller for longer. The fact is when you exercise you are obviously going to have a much faster metabolism..

You need to get all that bad girl food out of your home. If you keep it there, you are going to eat it. It looks to me like you are lacking will power (which is human nature for some of us, including myself). I don't want to sound like the pot calling the kettle black. By no means. So I got rid of all the bad stuff. I brought it to work, I donated the un-opened stuff to the food bank.

You need to increase your fiber and protein intake. If you are not eating enough fiber and protein, you can bank your going to be hungry. Fiber keeps you full, protein gives you energy. Carbs (simple carbs) give you energy as well, just be smart about them. Try to stay away from the complex carbs (breads, cookies).

I'm not sure about the daily needs of protien for women, but I do know that fiber is 20 to 25 grams per day. If you can't get that much fiber in the foods you eat, you might want to supplement.

Chicken and turkey are very high in protein. Think meat, veggies, and fruit. If you need a snack, eat it. Don't deprive yourself, but don't eat the whole darn box.

While you may not have an eating disorder this is disordered eating. You might need to work out a little less for a while and try to learn how to eat well without feeling like you are losing control of your food intake. Aside from the fact that purging through exercise and then binge eating won't help you lose weight it isn't good for you emotionally. When you feel ravenously hungry after a workout you should try to drink water as sometimes your body can confuse thirsty with hungry and you should also take a look at the overall nutritional value of your diet plan. If you eat foods that are nutritionally poor your body will still crave things because it isn't getting enough iron or calcium or whatever.

I am deff eating more than I should but I will try and restructure what I eat so hopefully I wont be as hungry and eat as much. Unfortunately I think a part of this massive eating is stress eating which I will have to work out :/ but thank you everyone :)
