I just read through the i-lipo thread and found myself wondering, if you have any of these treatments to break down fat cells - be that surgical liposuction, i-lipo or ice lipo (fat cells destroyed by freezing), surely the fat you eat then has to redistribute itself amongst your remaining fat cells.......which surely leads to an increase in internal abdominal fat, which is the worst kind?

Does anyone else have any thoughts on this?

Voodoo science that trades upon the desperation of many overweight people.

Whereas liposuction physically removes fat cells from your body these lasers etc are utter nonsense - 21st century snake oil.

Ok, but that wasn't really the question.

Dont know if those programmes actually do anything to the fat cell. With liposuction people notice when gaining weight after they don't usually gain in their usual place say thighs (if they had liposuction) and gain in new places they never did before like arms, tummy.

the problem was your question made no sense

My question made perfect sense, thank you.

Lipo removes fat cells. If you have lipo but don't significantly reduce the amount of fat you eat, where is that fat going to be stored? In your remaining fat cells. Which means more fat around your internal organs.

I answered above. It gets stored in places it doesn't usually for that person.

Thank you. You are the only person who has answered, and thank you for echoing what I had concluded too. It strikes me these methods are dangerous.

Clearly my friend you have no idea what you are talking about. Surgical lipo removes fat cells yes, with downtime, pain etc, and latest results reveal the fat returns after a year if you don't change your lifestyle completely.. but it returns to a different area of the body, back, shoulders, butt and legs.
i-Lipo is clinically proven, won the Victoire de la Beaute award 2010/11 for Best Slimming treatment of the year,...judged by CONSUMERS. I'd be happy to show you before and after fat cell histological analysis. Email me jrichards@chromogenex.com

i-Lipo doesn't damage the fat cells, it simply empties the contents which is then ready to be burnt off with post treatment exercise.
Both surgical and non-surgical laser treatments have the downside... they both aren't magic wands, a lifestyle change is needed, simple diet and simple exercise.

Ohh, it won a beauty award, I'm impressed. Clinically proven? Show me some clinical trials that have been peer reviewed. I would hardly consider you an unbiased source seeing as you sell the units.

Why do I think it's the "post treatment exercise"and lifestyle modicifation that provides the benefit.

  • My wife had this i-lipo treatment, she is in good shape and is in Menopause. She works our 3 days a week and has for 2 years. Sheri had a pad of fat over her abdominal area and had the typical love handles. 8 treatments in 3 weeks and lost 3.5". It made such a difference in her appearance that all her friends at the gym asked her what was going on. The real advantage was she was able to pick this area and loose it without loosing her body fat in her face and breast.

Most people have to loose so much weight to release the fat in these areas they look gaunt and flat chested. She had neither issue. Ler looks were unchanged other than she now had definition in her abdominal mussels for the 1st time in 20 years.

Technology moves forward, new products come on the market, some work, some don't; this one does. An open and informed mind is a powerful asset. Some people lack both.
