My name is Myia, and I am here in sunny Arizona. I've lost 60lbs two years ago, but haven't been able to lose any since.
I am hypoglycemic which has hinder some of my ability to cut food out of my diet. I also have a lot of stress (who doesn't?) and I turn to my comfort food-regular soda.

I am vegetarian trying to go vegan. I try to eat vegan as much as possible, but I won't lie, I cheat.
I also juice and I love green raw shakes! I have one everyday.

I started to do raw shakes a year ago and since then I am no longer dependent on medications for my blood sugar and I am finally getting healthy.

I also have a mild joint problem so I often can't do extreme exercises. If I had to point out why I haven't lost weight, it is probably because I don't work out. The past year I have changed jobs four times, as well as my brother has some medical issues. It has been hard to make that time. Right now, I am working on adding yoga and Pilates to my day, and I hope by next month more cardio besides walking my dogs :)

Would love to connect with supporters (I don't care if you eat meat or not)!

Thanks for reading :)

  • I'm vegan. And I took a year to go from meat-eating, to vegetarian, to vegan. Now I've been vegan for three years.
    I'll add you!

I am a vegetarian. I was vegan for about a year but my homeopathic doctor told me that I needed to consume some animal protein so I started back on eggs and dairy.

I also have a joint issue so I cannot do some of the more strenous exercises that other do, however I bought some personal training sessions earlier in the year so that I could get in some input on low impact exercies to help protect my joints. My sessions are finished, but I wrote down all the exercises my trainer had me do and now I incorporate them into my current workouts...have you thought about doing that??

I love making fresh vegetable juices...I juice about 3/week...I shoudl do more now that I think about it. If you're interested I'll add you?

Hi! My name is Lauren and I've been vegetarian for a little over 3 years now. I've been battling with the idea of going vegan for a while now. I know it makes sense considering how linked the meat and dairy industry are. I don't buy eggs, dairy milk or butter, or dairy-based cheeses, but do eat them when I go out occasionally.

I lost around 40 lbs when I stopped eating meat (and fast food) and now I seem to be at a stand-still as well. I'm hoping My Fitness Pal will motivate me to exercise more and drop some more weight!

I have a blog at http://thesouthernvegetarian.wordpress.com with lots of recipes.
