Hi Everyone....
My name is Margaret. I have been obese since my first pregnancy 31 years ago and slowly put on 100+ pounds.. Im 52 yrs old and recently spent a whole lot of money on a medical weight loss program and lost 58 pds and joined a gym. . Since i stopped the program I have'nt been in the gym in 3 months, I gained back 30 of those pounds and NOW its time to stop the BS and get back in gear. I remember thinking WOW if i can do this anyone can. What happend to that motivation. let me tell you.. Chocolate, sitting on my dead rear all day in front of the computer (at work) and going home at 5 and sitting in front of the computer playing games all night.

I was a faithful member of "myfitnesspal"" through my strong days, but never visited the message boards. I don't want anyone's pitty I want/need a friend. I never found really made a friend after my husbands job transferred our family to 3 different areas over the past 25 years. My youngest son is off in a few weeks for college and what happens if my husband, is tierd of my fat behind and proises of getting in shape.
PLEASE IF ANYONE HAS ROOM FOR ANOTHER FRIEND. I WOULD BE HONORED.....

I just read your profile, I saw you want a puppy! Just to let you know my dog is one of my biggest insperations to get out and walk every night. She keeps me going when I would rather not, one look at those eyes and my running shoes are on:happy: makes working out not feel like working out, so maybe you could get an active puppy as a way to help you in your weigh loss!

Welcome back Margaret. Stick around this place and you can't help but lose weight. Come to the boards when you're feeling weak. The battle of our weight is more emotional, mental, then it ever was/is about food. We just treat the symptoms with diet and exercise. I am not diminishing the fact we need to eat right and exercise. Just trying to say the boards are good for our mind and spirit.

Good Luck, I've invited you to be a friend! :drinker:

Oh girl, you can do this! I have been a member of mfp for awhile too but like u never visited the msg boards. When I finally did, I found a motivation that I have never before experienced. Just know that there is always someone here for you, so if you're feeling down or just want to brag on your successes, make a new post and we will all come running

    Keep on keepin' on!!

Welcome back Margaret! Everyone is right...the message boards and the wonderful people here make all the difference in the world. Having that emotional support is so important and finding folks that are going thru the same joys and struggles makes this a do-able journey!
