NSV for me...

When I joined MFP, one of my goals, besides losing weight, was to come off injectable insulin. I've lost some weight, got stuck for a while and talked to my doc about it. Made an appointment with a new diabetic doc and saw her last week. Before going to my appointment, I had to go in for all the lovely bloodwork (a CBC and an A1C). My appointment was last Friday morning, I went, a little leary and not knowing what to expect of the new doctor. She came in, took a look at my bloodwork and said, "Your numbers are looking really good. How do you feel about coming off insulin?" My jaw dropped. HAHA! I FEEL FANTASTIC ABOUT COMING OFF INSULIN!! I have to back myself off it, while adding new pills, but I'm all about that.

Changing the way I eat and what I eat and just moving more have changed things so much for me. I'm back now and hoping coming off the insulin will start that scale moving again. But I gotta tell ya, THIS was a huge NSV for me.

Thanks for all the support! :)

This IS big!!!! Congratulations!!!! WAY better than dropping a jean size or fitting into that dress in the back of the closet or watching the number on the scale go down!!!! This is HUGE!!!!! You are awesome!!! I love hearing these kinds of success stories!!! If I can quote one of my many supportive MFP friends - "You don't get what you wish for, you get what you work for." You worked for it! Be proud!!
