Can anyone recommend some DVDs?

Hey y'all. I'm trying to find something for my mom. She's 48 and wants to do some exercise just to be more in shape and to tone up. She doesn't want anything with weights. (I'm trying to convince her 3lbs will be alright, lol) She really wants some kind of dance workout. (Think yoga booty ballet) I was thinking about getting her TurboJam, but is that too advanced for someone who never exercises?
Any recommendations are greatly appreciated!

I think Turbo Jam would work. She can do it low impact and start with the 20 min workout until she feels ready to jump into cardio party.0

I love turbo jam and have several women well into their 50's, overweight, and uncoordinated that do it! There is a low impact version of it..and the turbo sculpt has the option to do without weights.
If she isn't into that..I know the girl I work with that sounds like your mom likes the Slim in 6 DVD's.
The yoga booty ballet does have some dancing in it..but yoga is a great way to keep up the muscle mass and flexibility for her too...
If you need more info..send me a message anytime!

I vote for Turbo Jam too. There are always 2 people who demonstrate the easier version and as she gets stronger, she can start aiming towards what everyone else is doing. They even do Turbo Sculpt without weights so she can always start there as it is lower impact than the other cardio videos.
YBB will kick butt too and has easier versions. I just think TJ is more fun. And if she wants to tone up, she'll eventually want weights ... but there's no harm in leaving it out for now, especially if she doesn't have any weight to lose.0 -
Here is something that I absolutely love and it uses your core a lot.

I am now doing P90X, but I did this Core Rhythms for at least a month and loved it. I also had great results.
This site will give you more information on it.

Let me know if she tries it. I know she would love it. :bigsmile:0 -
Turbo Jam is SO much fun! And the boards (which are mostly free) have lots of inspiring people on them your moms age who are just getting into dvd fitness.
I love looking at www.collagevideo.com (I hope I have that right) because you can look at previews and see if it's right for you.0 -
