Actually looking at it, it doesnt look that horrendous. Yes bviously losing a stone in a week isnt healthy in the longterm, but for the reason it gives then fine.
I could happily use this as a basis of a meal plan, its not as bad as some, such as the cabbage soup diet etc!0 -
If you're fat enough its possible without being too dangerous as a lot will be water weight and you'll have plenty fo stores to burn off.0

2lbs a day? Maybe in one week, but you'd just gain a chunk right back. Slow and steady with maintainable changes my friends.0

They seem to do it on "the biggest loser" with some regularity. Those folks start near the 400 pound mark though, and are on strict diets, amazingly tough workout programs, and monitored by doctors 24/7, and I'm not so sure even *that* is safe!0

A stone is 14 pounds, correct?
If you're very, very, very heavy or retaining a whole lot of water, it's possible. But when I was depressed and didn't eat solid food for an entire week. I didn't lose that much.0 -
Haven't rtied it but thanks for the link cause I'm going to I will start today and let you know how it worked out seven days from now.0

It does work, its not so bad when you get into it but be prepared for it to all go back on just as quickly plus a few extra pounds. Everyone I know thats done it had to start from scratch again eventually including myself. It will make it harder to lose weight again from then on too. My body is a testament to being on too many weird diets since the age of 7.
It IS just for losing weigh quickly for an operation and thats it really.0 -
I eat more for breakfast than they suggest for an entire day.
If all you care about is the number on the scale, try cutting off your leg below the knee. The amount of muscle you'd lose on that diet is just as bad for you.0 -
It does look very good!
But i would be worried about just piling the weight back on when i return to eating normally at the end of the week..
Although i plan to bookmark the diet and save it to try before going on holiday!
Thanks for posting! ^-^0 -
I havent done this but have seen similar ones in the past used for losing weigh before surgery etc. It doesnt look that bad compared to some but think i would struggle with the dry toast (yuk) and would definately cave in on days 3 & 4.
However i could use it as a base for a weekly menu plan... might see what i can come up with and give it a try before my holiday.0 -
Thanks for replies so far - still interested in hearing from others who have done it0

If I'm not mistaken, back in the 60's this was called the Grapefruit Diet. Not healthy then, not healthy now.0
