I'v been consistent with my eating and exercise; actually, I've increased my workouts to five days a week from three. Currently, I do Zumba two nighs and jog 2.25-2.5 miles on the other three. Recently, I've hit a lull and I'm feeling discouraged. I've lost 13 pounds so far but checking the scale-daily-the last two weeks, I've either stayed the same weight or have gone up.

What, if anything, can be done differently to move forward? Is this normal, somewhat?

I'm going thru the same thing... but I've noticed that my clothes are getting looser, so I'm chalking it up to the fact that I'm gaining muscle while losing fat, so the scale isn't moving. Are you eating enough? If you're diet is good, and you're working out regularly, just keep going.. don't listen to the scale - take your measurements because that's what tells the real story. Hang in there!

I know this sounds crazy, but try eating a few more calories. I've heard people on here having great success when they eat a small about if their calories back. Might be worth the try.

Try adding some weights. You will add muscles, which burn more calories, plus you will get so toned.

Measure! It's only measurements that count, measure yourself once every two weeks - it gives me so much confidence if my weight doesn't change (increases) but the measurements go down, it's the clear proof that the fat's turning into muscle :)

I agree with adding a few calories, but also perhaps you can vary your exercise routine. I know routine makes us comfortable, but the body adapts. Sometimes you have to shake it up. (Says the woman who is treadmill girl all the way. ;->)

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! I greatly appreciate the insight, suggestions and support...my clothes are fitting differently so I know that something is definitely working; I don't like looking at the scale hover around the same number for two weeks. I will surly update you all on my progress, thanks again :-)
