Cooking and eating at home, you can see what calories your eating but going out which most of us do, its hard to know the calories and fat in most of restaurants foods. Please could you give me the healthiest options (Food, drink & sauces) you think i should order when ordering from

Nandos
BK
KFC
McDonalds
Pizza Hut
Pizza Express
Prezzo
GBK
Giraffe

Please feel free and add other restaurants

if u go on their websites, a lot of them have nutrition info:) and ive noticed KFC and mcdonalds have all the calorie info on their menus now as well. nandos can be quite healthy & low cal, i always get the butterfly chicken breast with macho peas and sweetcorn! think its about 700 cals and its delicious!x

    Pizza Express
    New Leggera Pizza
A ring of our thinner, crispier Romana dough, topped with the ingredients you love, with under 500 calories each. The hole in the middle is filled with a delicious rocket, herb shaved ricotta salata salad, dressed with balsamic syrup.
  • I was a pizza lover but unfortunately when i came to know that 1 small pizza contians over 1200 calories I left eating it however you can have a low calorie food in mcdonald

    1 mac chicken sandwich meal

    1:- burger = 360 calories
    1:- medium fries = 365 calories
    1:- medium coke = 180 calories

Total :- 905 calories and that will make u full for a long time if u want to lower your calories take away fries or coke whatever you prefer.

Nando's must be the easiest out of that lot, but yeah, go to their website or check their menu.
Plan your choice in advance, in you own time, no pressure, and choose a back up incase something's not available.

If their nutrition info makes your life difficult, help me out by not going there.

The more we support restaurants that make their nutrition readily available, the better for the country's health.

Restaurants that make this stuff easy for us, are typically the healthier choices too.

I did a lot of homework by going on the websites and making a note of the least calorific items on the menu

Mcdonalds Grilled Chicken caesar salad with low cal dressing is only 155 calories

KFC Original Recipe salad 265 calories

There are low calorie options at most of the fast food places these days you just have to do your homework first :-)

the nandos menu is pretty much entirely available on here. To me, it's the best option when eating out in this kind of place, not just because it's lower cal, but because it tastes like real food, and it fills me up. I'm always hungry again an hour or so after mcdonalds. And the smell of KFC is enough to put me off.

I always drink sparkling mineral water when I'm out, but that's because it's the thing I most like. I don't drink alcohol anymore, and I don't like sweet fizzy drinks.
