Hello Everyone. I have a question. I did my first circuit training on Thursday. Since then my front of my thighs are killing me. I also have pain in my abs and legs. Any suggestions on how to help the pain go away. I have tried advil no help. I could not exercise yesterday because hurt to much. I am going today to see if its helps or makes it worse. Thanks in advance for your advise....

Keep going! You will be sore for a while but you'll adjust!

I agree, keep going and make sure to stretch and drink lots of water. Also look into maybe a sports drink of some sort.

If you didn't injure yourself, you have delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) and it will eventually stop bothering you if you continue training. You can read about it and the remedies here --> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delayed_onset_muscle_soreness . If you feel stiff and sore after resting, slowly work the muscles to warm them up. The more blood you can keep flowing to the muslces, the faster they will heal.

You may want to take an analgesic (Tylenol, acetaminophen, paracetamol) and an NSAID (Aleve, Ibuprophen, naproxyn) to help with the pain. You can take both together because they are not synergists. Just follow the dosage directions on the label. Don't workout with too much intensity next time. Prevention is the best way to avoid DOMS. Baby steps.

    Good luck and good health!!

Just thought I would let you all know. I worked it out like you all said to do but a slower pace. And it feels so much better. I actually was able to do the treadmill yesterday for the 1st time for 15minutes...that's a big step for me. I really appreicate all your advise...thanks:happy:
