Ok.... so I just recently bought Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred... todays day 2 of level 1... and I love it because I understand her and she makes it fun....

Cost - $9.04

and back in Oct. I bought Power 90...... and I hated it because Tony didnt make it fun.......

Cost $100.00

Just because something cost more does not mean its more effective.... All I ever see is Threads about 30DS an once in a blue moon about the big bucks ones.....

As of now my Power 90 stuff sits in a cardboard box collecting dust while my 9.04 DVD is getting a beating... well more like giving me a beating....

Point to my story.... MORE IS NOT ALWAYS BETTER....... look into things before you jump into it.

Thanks for the comparison. I just moved to level 3 of 30DS and am considering P90X next but was wondering if I should try Power 90 instead. Sounds like it would be a waste of money.

I have P90X and I love it! I have a few DVDs that were cheaper, and I never use them lol. It's all about what you personally enjoy doing. Anything is a waste of money if you don't do it!

That is completely true! And although Tony hurts me, I will say that I don't really mind his annoying videos. And my husband likes them.

Thank you for the comparison. I liked 30DS, got great results. I tried doing it a second time around a few months later and got bored with it and never completed it again. Plus the burns werent high enough for me anymore since ive lost so much. Now i am doing ChaLEAN Extreme, yes its one of the more expensive programs ($105) but i love it thus far. I also have alotta the cheap $10 dvd's and love them as well. I agreee with one of the other posters, it think it comes down to what you enjoy most. For me i like a variety or different kinds no matter the amount i paid for them. But you are totally right, just because they are more money doesnt mean you will enjoy them more or be more effective! =)

It's just important to find what works for you.

Some people do really good with P90X, but ALOT wash out instead....you have to figure out what kind of person you are and what plays to your strengths. For example, I am a very numbers oriented person and I bought myself a heart rate monitor the other day, and people I know were trying to discouraging me from getting it because it is "too stringent" but I use it all the time now and I LOVE IT because I am a very anal person :).

So definetly research research research before you jump into something and think about honestly if it is going to work for you and your personality type. MFP is a great resource for what people have tried and how it worked for them (fitness boards)
