I am doing the Forks Over Knives/Engine 2 diet. And I was wondering if anyone had some restaurant suggestion that are friendly to the "Plant Strong" way of life? I am on day 18 of 28 but I am considering making this a long term commitment because I have lost 30lbs and feel so energetic and strong (even without meat and cheese!).

In my city there are a few raw/vegan restaurants. It's a little more expensive, but it's fun to patronize and try different things. It also inspires your cooking and adds variety to the meals you make at home.

Earlier this year I came across a video of a guy talking about how vegans can navigate restaurant situations, but I couldn't find the link for you. One of things he said was to plan ahead, if you can choose the restaurant do it, BUT if you can't look at the menu (online if available) or call ahead prior to going so you can make wise choices.

Though I couldn't find a link to the video, this article is AWESOME on some questions you can ask while dining out:

Good luck! Would love to continue hearing your progress as you go through this journey!

P.S. If interested, I came across some awesome mock tuna/salmon recipes. Roll it up in some Nori Sheets--makes awesome Vegan Sushi!

You can use the Happy Cow site to check what restaurants are vegan/vegetarian friendly in your area:

We don't eat meat, and we definitely had to use this site when we moved here to Barcelona! Good luck!

You can actually watch Forks Over Knives for Free online at: http://www.hulu.com/watch/279734/forks-over-knives

It's one of many documentaries that advocates for people to exchange their SAD diet (Standard American Diet) for a Plant based One.

Doing so helps the environment as well as improves the overall health and well being of the person who explores that option.
