Depending on your weight, age, and fitness level, it could certainly be true.

That sounds about right to me.

A 38 minute walk, according to MFP, at a speed of 4MPH is 246 calories so I'd say yes it could very well be correct, give or take a few :) Well done!

I walked my dog yesterday at a pretty moderate pace (about 4mph), for 22 minutes and I burned 192 calories according to my HRM, so it is certainly possible!! I am 32 yrs old, 5'5", 152lb.

Yep, but it depends on age and weight. I'm currently 233 and I can easily burn 300 cals with a very brisk 30 minute uphill walk.

It could well be true. I did a 37 minute walk last night with my ft4 and it said I burned 191 calories. But in that same time frame I have burned more when walking with weights or going somewhere were there are hills. (neither of which did I do last night)

It all depends on your height, weight, walk speed, level of fitness etc. But it definitely sounds like a reasonable number to me.

I would say that's probably pretty accurate!!!

If that's what your heartrate monitor says, then I'd say it's pretty accurate. Nice surprise, huh? :)

Sounds accurate, I jogged 2 miles yesterday for 30 minutes and burned 282. Keep up the good work!

Sounds right to me! I walk a lot, and I usually burn 550-650 calories (according to my HRM) in an hour. I walk at a quick pace - a little over 4mph - and climb lots of challenging hills.

I'm 40, 5'9", 145 lbs and consider myself to be very fit!

I'm assuming my HRM is pretty accurate for me... or else I wouldn't have been successful in hitting (exceeding) my weight loss goal. I've been in maintenance for a couple months now.

I walked 45 mins each way (decided to walk instead of drive to get the exercise) and burned about 300 calories each way.

It sounds right...If you want to have burned more calories, then get your heart rate up a lot more. Maybe throw in some jogging spurts or just walk as fast as your legs will take you.

I just bought the same monitor and have used it the past 4 days. It does seem to be pretty accurate, within 2-5 calories is what I've found. I haven't done any weight training wearing it yet, only cardio, so I'm very anxious to see how that works out tonight for me!
