Graphic Designers/Creative Types - help?

My dad is turning 60 and we're having a bday party for him. I need to make the invites. I have photoshop skills, but seriously lack simple creativity.

We're doing a Beatles Yellow Submarine theme of sorts... He was Navy for 10 years and spent that time on a Sub. And, he absolutely looked just like a damn Beatle at the time and loves the music. So, voila.

I was thinking of changing the words on this graphic and maybe doing four photos of him in round portholes? But is that too cheesey? Advice is sooooo welcomed!

    What I would do.

    Put pics in the portholes. Fidn a font and write Dad's 60th birthday. Then the family name, or the name of the sub.

    change the background to be a navy picture, put it in black and white, or lighten it to look more muted.

    That would really make it. Make the photos black and white and I think you have a winner! Your idea is cheesy (in a good way), so the cheesier the better.
