I usually have a high protein low fat low carb snack about an hour or so before bed to fill me up for the night. Yes if I don't I wake up around 3 am with my stomach growling.0

There's quite a few people who have asked the same question on here.
Most replies state to save most of your calories for the evening if possible (ie. eat a big meal a few hours before bed). And, go to bed at a reasonable time so your body isn't craving carbs to keep you awake.0 -
I use to have that problem, yes! I can't see your diary so I can't help much there. Make sure you're getting a good balance of carbs, healthy fat and lots of protein. What are your allowances? Maybe they are set to low giving you good reason to be hungry. If you're eating out of boredom try to find something to do. When I get the munchies at night I stop and ask myself, what did I eat today, how hard did I workout based on those I decide if I'm truly hungry and need to eat or if I'm just bored. If I'm bored then I engage myself in something, go for a walk, read a book, scrapbook, play a game on my phone or whatever I can come up with at the moment.0

I sometimes want a little extra sweet at night, but can usually control it. However, last night I had some serious insomnia and ended up eating so much in the middle of the night! Thought it was interesting being out of routine.0

I always save calories for a snack between dinner and bedtime. It sounds like doing something similar will benefit you. Have some good snacks in the house specifically for that purpose and save the calories. Be sure to measure out a serving that equals the calories you have saved and only eat that amount. No taking the whole bag of pistachios to the sofa with you and thinking you're going to be able to just eat them until you're sated! :laugh:0

I find when I eat carbs at night before going to bed, the next morning I am starving. I try to eat a couple hrs before going to bed and have a bit of protein with what I eat. The protein seems to help stave off cravings for me.0

I always eat before i go to bed. I have to or i won't sleep through out the night and will also wake up with headaches.0

I plan out what I'm going to eat for the day either in the morning or afternoon when I have time, and I always make sure I save plenty of my calories for the evening. If I didn't do this I would probably end up going way over all the time because I have less self control later at night. It works for me0

My best advice may not work for many of you...but basically I do my killer workout after work (gain my extra 500 cal lol) and then shower and have a late dinner (730-8pm) so that I can snuggle up and just feel satisfied and know that I busted my butt! by throwing my workout in right after work, I get pretty amped up so I really concentrate on making a healthy meal that will really tie together my day (like tonight I had a lean pork tenderloin chop, some mushroom soup, and a whole load of boiled asparagus and lemon) ...makes me feel like I have really earned it and its great to sit down and relax after!0

Every so often I wake up starving. I grab a small bowl of cereal and then go back to bed. It's low calorie so I don't feel guilty laying back down afterwards.0
