Inconsiderate dog owners!

I just need to rant, I have been hiking this trail that I like cause it is uphill and whoops my butt. Every time I hike though, all these people walk their dogs and let them crap all over the trail. I can understand being in the woods, ok they don't want to pick it up, but at least scoot it off the side with a stick right? I would, cause nothin is worse then getting in your car with stink on your shoe. I have to keep my eyes down instead of taking in the scenery! Am I alone in this?

I can understand your frustration. I always pick up after my dog...and it really frustrates me when others don't. I walk my dog daily for about an hour and I always pack a bunch of doggie bags ...no poop left behind!0

You are NOT alone! I have two dogs who crap more than anything I have ever seen....and I am constantly picking up poop. Since my husband and I travel a lot we are always in RV parks and not only do I pick up our poop I pick up the other dogs poop, plus coyote, horse, cow and whatever else runs thru the park...I call in Poop Patrol.0

I'm a dog owner and nothing annoys me more than other owners who do not clean up after their pets. If I'm out with my dog, I always have a roll of poop bags in my pocket. It's rude and disrespectful for people to not clean up after their pets. Even at a designated off leash dog park with forest areas, it is required for you to clean up after your dog.0

I have the same problem with the bikeway I walk. When I walk my friends' two dogs, I always have bags with me (the bigger dog never fails to have to leave something behind...). There may not be much to look at on the bikeway, but I'd rather walk with my chin up than have to constantly look down to make sure I don't step in anything stinky and messy.0

ugh... and then it gets into your floor mats too.
The neighbour's dog has decided that our front lawn is 'his'. My husband is going to present the neighbours with a special present soon, if they don't clean it up themselves first.0 -
More dog owners need to hear your rant. I'm an owner of two large dogs, and not only clean up after them, but am not shy about busting those that don't clean up after their dogs. If they don't clean up after their dogs, one wonders what the inside of their house looks like. ugh.0

I have been walking to work in the dry weather, on pavements, and still I have this problem. Kids walk this road to school too!
Also I have noticed a few of these dog owners when out walking their pets and I'm walking towards them allow their dog to come bounding towards me and jump up, covering me in muddy (well, hopefully mud) paw prints on my way to work. I'm not talking small dogs either. I'm not keen on strange dogs (i'm ok if I know them and I'm used to them), but I just think it's so inconsiderate!

The worst offenders in that category are the ladies in black mink who walk their dogs on the 5th Ave sidewalk in front of Central Park in NYC. What is it about wearing and expensive coat that makes it hard bend to scoop the poop? Most disgusting and stinky in the spring when a winter's accumulation thaws.0

It's frustrating for those of us who do pick up after our dogs when other dog owners don't. It reflects on all dog owners when they don't do it. I walk all three of mine together and each one has an empty bag tied to their collar and then I carry three extra in my pocket because sometimes they decide that they need to go twice.0

I had my landlord come down on me last summer with a violation of not registering my dog........I don't have a dog. People just let their digs crap in other people's yards and never clean it up. My daughter plays in that yard. I'm going to stick their dog in my toilet after my daughter uses it....see how they like it :grumble:0

You're so not alone. That's gross, I don't care where you are, you should ALWAYS pick up after your dog. We've got this poop bag dispenser that clips onto our dogs' leashes and goes everywhere with us.0

Agreed and I own a dog! If my dog poops in he woods and it's out of the way (like in a bush or up a steep bank that people do not walk on/children can't get too)I will tend to leave it...and sometimes I will have to leave it if...erm...if it's not the ...correct consistency to pick up
...If I am able to pick it up and its on the path...like a public path then I will always pick it up...there is nothing more frustrating then people that let their mutt poo every where...makes the rest of us dog owners look bad!
EDIT: Just re-read that...wanted to point out that I literally ALWAYS pick up my dogs poo, it is only on very rare occasions that I leave it...like I say when I CAN'T pick it up or when it is so high/lo down on a bank that no one could possibly get to it!...feel better now for clearing that up!!0 -
i work in a city and the walk track around the outpatient facilty has dog turds strewn throughout my walk, its like tiny little smelly landmines:explode:0

I have more dog crap in my yard from neighborhood dogs than from my own. My dog is put on a chain so only has a limited area to do his business. Yet I find crap all over my yard. If I ruled the world, shooting these ignorant dog owners would be justifiable homicide.0
