Steph's Asian Tacos

I also have to warn everyone -- I tend to just wing it when I make new stuff so all amounts are approximate. Adjust the recipe to your taste please

sauce:
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup rice wine vinegar
1/2 sherry
1/4 honey
1/4 cup lime/lemon juice
to taste: garlic, ginger, chili sauce, pepper, wasabi, thai chili sauce ,

veggies:
1/2 cup carrots
1/2 cup celery
1/4 cup orange bell peppers
1/2 cup bok choi
1/4 cup onion or shallot

Meat:
1 1/4 lbs tilapia
5 oz shrimp(cooked, deveined and pealed)
1/2 cup baby bella mushrooms

Tortilla:
La Tortilla Factory, Garlic & Herb Low Carb Tortilla

Reduction:
to left over sauce add
2 tbsp honey
1/2 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp garlic
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp wasabi powder
1 tbsp lime/lemon juice


Instructions:
mix all sauce components together and stir well

Meat:
put tilapia in frying pan and just cover with sauce
allow to marinade for 15-20 min
cook on med-high heat until tilapia flakes
flake apart fish with a fork
add shrimp and mushrooms
simmer until shrimp and mushrooms are hot

Veggies:
julianne and mix veggies in small frying pan -
spoon 4-5 tbsp sauce over veggies
steam over med-low heat until desired texture

Reduction:
add honey, soy, juice, garlic, wasabi and ginger to remaining sauce
simmer over med-low heat until slightly thick

Assembly:
into tortilla
add measure of fish/shrimp/mushrooms
add measure of veggies
drizzle on 1-2 tsp reduction
sprinkle with chow mein noodles

enjoy!
