Investment - BodyMediaFit or Turbo Fire?

I've got the money to buy one of these items! (I am not debating which type of calorie measuring device or workout dvd to buy since i've done my research and narrowed it down to these and found a good price on the BMF.)
I'm just not sure which one will give me the most bang for my buck currently. I'm already working out 7-9 times per week (strength training, tons of cardio, indoor soccer, zumba, etc) so TurboFire may be overkill but i think my workouts could use a pick-me-up. Since i workout over lunch at the gym, i'd do TF in the mornings or evenings at home (where i also have an incline trainer i use some days). I'm not on a plateau right now, but i have been before so i thought the BMF would help with that, and help me see what my body does during non-workout times plus track my sleep quality and make sure my BMR is accurate. I'd be able to get the other in a few weeks, so its not a huge wait for either, but which should i do first????

TURBOFIRE!!!! I love love love love love turbofire so much. It is definitely a pick me up for workouts!!
Granted, I suggest getting it on Ebay. I got mine for 60 bucks, including the advanced version and it was brand new!0 -
I have a BodyMedia Fit and love it... Definitely worth the investment. Sounds like you have your workouts covered, so I would go with the BMF. Unless you are getting bored with your routine then go for Turbo Fire because it is an awesome workout!0

I'm unfamiliar with BodyMediaFit other than the website and it's somehow affilliated with BodyBugg which I use.
OHHHHH, that IS the BMF, isn't it? Okay. So.....funny story. (So I own both of these product.) I thought having the constant, "How many calories am I burning each day?" would help - I really gave it a chance - but I became too obsessive......so I just use my BMR and have a heartrate monitor. I'm getting better results with this website, but to each her own!
But TurboFire rocks!! I am not super fit but I'm in pretty decent shape for a fatty. I don't think you can go wrong with TurboFire......it's so much fun....and I'm pretty picky0 -
LOL, i have both :P -- Im currently doing TF, great burns! Love BOTH!0

I've got TurboFire and would prefer BodyMedia! lol0

Thank you to the post-er of this thread b/c I have been on the fence about TurboFire.
I think mostly the cost is wigging me out.
I want to do the work.
I want the results.
I want off this blasted plateau.
I want it to be fun and love it.
Thanks for the tip about Ebay, itpbr10 - I am headed there now!!
If I can get it cheaper then I definitely want to purchase it.
THANK YOU!!0 -

I'm pretty sure i'm going to buy TurboFire first!! i'm ready to have some fun!0 -
Flip a coin.
Neither one of these is super important for weight loss or fitness.0 -
I have the BodyMedia and I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I love that I can adjust my calorie intake on a daily basis based on actual usage, and not just "guessing" how much I burned or used. Don't know what I would do without it!0

Bodymediafit. It is really useful knowing what you burn in a day from regular activity. There are lots of free ways to exercise out there, or whatever you already own. But it isn't so easy to know what you are burning calorie wise with any accuracy unless you have some kind of measuring device like this.
I have a fibit for the same purpose and i absolutely love it.
So provided you aren't going to find it too irritating wearing an armband device around all the time (one of the main reason i bought the fitbit), and don't mind paying the ongoing subscription fee of the bodymediafit, then i'd go for that.0 -
BMF!!!!!!!!0

My BMF should be here any day now! Ordered it last week!0

I can get a BMF from costco, the LINK one with bluetooth, and a free 1 year subscription for 199.99 (including S&H). same price as on their website, but comes with a full year of subscription!
so now i'm torn again :-)0 -

BMF!! I realized I'm burning an average of 3,500-3,700 calories a day and I was only eating 1,600...no wonder I plateaued for 5 months. Getting the BMF and knowing my burn helped me break the plateau!0

I understand neither is super important. however this is a mental game and it can help to have support that works for the individual. My fitness and weight loss results depend entirely on how i follow my lifestyle change, and that depends entirely on what i'm doing to implement and support changes. i love feedback and numbers, so i think BMF would help me, along with the tracking i'm doing on this site, track my calories much more accurately. I think TurboFire will bring something to the table that i'm not getting in my workouts now (HIIT, more scheduled) when i attend whatever class i feel like doing, and play soccer 2-3 times per week. So i can flip a coin, OR i can get feedback from people who have both and use both and can give me advice on how it helped or didn't help them....0 -
I use BMF every single day and only take it off for the shower. I found out that my TDEE is averaging 2500 calories/day and that I'm only actually sleeping an average of 6.5 hours a night.
I upped my calories and am going to bed earlier.
I finally broke my plateau and am losing again! I am also a huge geek and believe that more (smart) data is better, so I say go with the BMF! Also, groupon just had them for $95 - so go check out groupon's site and see if they're still on sale!
Edited: Just checked Groupon Goods - you've got a little over 7 hours left for that $95 deal.0 -

ha, i just did the same thing! might order one. wish it was a deal on the one with bluetooth, but i guess i dont need every minute trackign on my phone, or i might become really obsessed with it ;-)0 -
I have the body bugg and Turbo Fire (And Chalean Extreme). I like Turbo Fire. It's a fun workout. I didn't get huge results from it. I've had the body bugg for about a month. It's very eye opening to see how many calories you burn in a day. I burn nearly twice the amount on weekends than I do during the week when I'm working. That makes me work harder (walks at lunch, workouts after work, etc) during the week. Hope this helps.0

This is why i said "flip a coin", and didn't say, "get neither"0 -
i got totally sidetracked last night and missed the groupon!!!!!! grrrrrr.... dang it.0
-
Well i got a deal on both, so now i am wearing my BodyMedia Fit for the first time today, and Turbo Fire should arrive in a few days! let the fun begin!!0

I REALLY enjoy turbofire. I HATE doing cardio...but I absolutely love turbofire because it makes me work harder than I ever have before. It's so fast-paced that it doesn't give you enough time to get bored, which is usually the case for me with other kinds of cardio (like Zumba)0
-
Turbofire is the best! I love it in conjunction with my HRM and tracking calories on mfp0
