How do you measure foods like cherries and watermelon? Do you weigh out 8 oz for a cup or do you use an actual measuring cup? Am I overthinking stuff like that?

I actually count the cherries since they have a pit. For watermelon, I weigh it and use grams.
8 (liquid) oz for a cup is different from 8 dry weight ounces--very confusing!! Here's a great conversion calculator if you ever need one:

8 Fluid oz = 1 cup not 8 weight oz
So you just fill the measure cup to the one cup line for strawberries, watermelon and any other fruit or veggie you measure.
Hope this helps.0 -
