When you are used to medicating your stress with food? Not just your run of the mill stress...news that your best friend who has already suffered so much physically, is now facing leukemia?

A friend who first appeared in your life when you needed them the most? A friend who lives 10,000 miles away?

I've hit the nachos and beer, I've walked/jogged 2 miles. ..What do you do?

I am heartbroken tonight.

  • First of all, let me tell you that I am sincerely sorry that you're having such a rough time.
Next, you want to know what I do when i want to deal with REALLY hard times with food. Let's see...where to begin?
PLEASE add me as a friend; I've found that the more friends I have, the bettter. (I have 36)
I've also found that playing games, watching a good movie, listening to music; basically anything that you can think of to distract your mind from food helps. Another thing that I've found is to write out your feelings on paper...and don't stop until you feel better.
And when all else fails, P.U.S.H: Pray Until Something (else) Happens!
Good luck & I look forward to having you as a friend.:flowerforyou:

I run. It helps with stress, elevates my mood, and keeps me away from comfort food.
