Welcome, Carl! You sound very happy to be here, and that's a great sign.

Remember that your rate of loss might slow down a bit after the initial big burst--not to be discouraging but just to make sure you don't have unrealistic expectations. I've always felt that it's a nice boost that our body gives us to get us going, and then we have to settle in for the long haul. :)

May your journey go as smoothly as possible and bring you to that healthy future. ^_^

Hello from southern Indiana, where it's been unseasonably warm all winter long! I've only been here for two weeks myself. I lost nearly 3 lbs in my first week. My second weigh-in is tomorrow. I really like this forum too! Keeps me on track and I've made some new friends.

Good luck with your next 3kg!
  • Hi, Carrie here from Washington, D C. Looking forward to dropping the pounds with you!

    Thanks guys.

I know the weightloss will slow down and I know that sometimes it may go backwards. :)

As much as losing the weight i am happy that I can now see exactly whats in the food nutrition wise and I can scan barcodes with my phone and also shock co workers by scanning their foods lol I love the education that this system gives you.

    Hi Everyone,

My name is Becca! I've been with MFP since September, but have had a hard time staying committed. My hope is that if I can build a community of support that maybe yall can help give me the motivation I need. Feel free to add me as a friend. :)
