So, I get paid soon, and for the first time in many months I will be in completely control of what I buy and eat (I've been eating my family's food since I moved back home, before that it was dorm food and... yuck).
Making my way to the grocery and health food stores, I need some recommendations for healthy and health food because to be honest, I'm not all that acclimated with it!

Things to know:
Peppers, onions and mushrooms are revolting to me
I don't eat red meat
Not a huge fan of cookies and sweets
I love cheese

Any way anyone can help with healthy, low-cal snacks and quick meals to look out for? Personal favorites? Miracle foods?

  • My new favorite is avacado...I use it in salad and also make guacamole and eat it in low calorie wraps! I also buy a couple packages of rice cakes and eat them as snacks with either peanut butter or low cal "butter". I get lots of oatmeal and buy fish thats on sale....usually can get a pound of fish for around six bucks:-)
