Everyone did GREAT this week :flowerforyou: Now we have to tackle the weekend... personally eating healthy on the weekend is a challenge... so I think slowly integrating a 'clean eating' approach will really help to keep me on track...

For those of you who are just joining us... this is an open support group based on our goals of eating clean (See this website for more info. http://www.cleaneatingmag.com/minisite/ce_index.htm)... Each week / weekend I will be setting up challenges to help us build up to eating clean... as a fast food junkie I need to set small goals and challenges if I want to stick with this

Challenge 1. 7/20 - 7/24, DRINK CLEAN - Completed (Keep it up!) :drinker: WATER. WATER. WATER.

Challenge 2. 7/24 - 7/26, Eat a Clean Breakfast everyday and you will feel ready for weekend fun! :flowerforyou: Good Luck Everyone!!!

    haha  YUMMM.

A clean breakfast would include fruits... eggs... veggies... some dairy products (look for things with no more than 5 ingredients, and you should know what they all are  ) basically anything that is not processed, has no preservatives or added color.... fake sugar... stuff like that  Hope this helps... check out the link if you want a better description plus some recipies

Boy do I need motivation and support with clean eating--and calorie counting--lately! Good place for this thread.

I eat oatmeal for breakfast almost every day. A clean meal always includes protein along with its complex carbs (that's the unprocessed grains, fruits, or veggies), so I add liquid egg whites. (They're also good in clean hot chocolate!) Sounds gross, but they have no eggy flavor and they add lots of protein. I make slow-cook, multi-grain, old-fashioned oatmeal (not the mushy kind) in the microwave, then I usually add a chopped apple, the egg whites, skim milk, and flax. Here are the amounts:

    1/2 c oatmeal (dry)
    1 apple
    1/4 c egg whites
    1/4 c skim milk
    1 T. ground flax meal
    Stevia to sweeten (sometimes)

    Happy eating!
