I just wanted to share my 30 day progress to help those that are just starting. Progress is going to be slow and never happens overnight for any one here, unless they get lipo...then who needs mfp right? I got serious about loosing weight 2/16. SW 206
CW 198.8 down 7lbs, waist 45.5/43.3, hips 47/45.75, arms 13.5/12.75, chest 41.5/39, thighs 28/27, BF% 48.6/47.6, BMI 36.2/35.1
It's a start for me that I am happy with, it shows that my work is paying of little by little. I quit adding huge amounts of salt to all my food, I'm a saltaholic. I think the first 2 weeks was simply water weight lost. A big part too was getting a correct TDEE and BMR. I am trying to eat more unprocessed, raw foods. I still have some junk here and there in small amounts. And I am trying to exercise daily, even if it is only walking a mile. There are many people here who have lost significant amounts of weight and kept it off, I am simply taking it all in and incorporating it into my lifestyle to find a healthier way of living. Stick to it and be realistic in your goals and true to yourself. No one here will say it was quick and easy.

Wow 7 lbs, that's wonderful. Great job! I've been on for 2 months and haven't been as successful in terms of weight loss but I have learned a lot about calories and how much I was eating before. Have you used a heart rate monitor?

No but I bought a fitbit. I was surprised cause I was doing eating 1200 cals to start and after I got my fitbit found I was actually burning around 2300 a day just doing stuff around the house so I got to bump my cals up. I have been trying to do uphill hikes 2 times a week for at least a mile one way.

That's superb progress, you're doing great!
  • That's excellent progress so far! Sounds like you have a good handle on it and are willing to put in the time to reach your goals! Congrats and good luck on the rest of your journey that's yet to come! :) I am going to hit my 30 day mark in a few days too (second time around anyway) and hope I have some good results to report as well!!
