I went do a diner this morning and ordered an egg white omelette with spinach, tomatoes, and onion. I have NO idea how to log this in.. it was a pretty big omelette, about 8 inches in diameter i'd say. How many calories would you say I ate?

Just add each ingredient separately. Probably about 2-3 egg whites in the omelette, maybe some milk? Only you can guess how much of each thing was in it since you're the one who saw it. It may also have been cooked in a little oil.0

I would log the ingredients separately Best guesses will have to do!0

I agree separately log everything.
I'm willing to bet they cooked the egg in some sort of margarine mixture and probably added milk to the eggs.0 -
I'm not an egg-eater (I have an allergy)... that being said, when I go out to a restaurant, if they dont report their cals, I typically try to pick apart their food. For example, I'll try to guess how much spinach was in the omelet. Search for 1 cup of spinach. 1/2 cup diced tomatoes. 1/c cup onion. Until you have the components of your omelet. Hopefully someone will be able to help you with the egg, though, in terms of how much egg whites constitute an 8 inch omelet :happy:0

was it a 3 egg omelet? Just search for 3 egg omelet with spinach tomatoes & onion. I can bet someone has put this in the data bank. Or you can build a recipe of how you think they made it & that will give you an amount too. Or call the diner, they may know exactly how many calories is in it.0

I would enter it in by each food. 3 egg whites, 1/2c cooked spin, 1/2 c diced tomatoes and 1/4" thick slice onion and anything else you had with it.
You can check to see if there is a website affiliated with the restaurant and look up nutrition info. Additionally, there are websites who have gathered this data for several restaurants!0 -
there are tons of egg white omelets fro diff restaurants that would probaby approximate what you had...less than 200 for sure0

I think you've got to log the items separately and just guesstimate on the portion size. You can also try looking at the nutrition facts put out by big breakfast place chains. I know Perkins has a way to calculate nutrition facts for ever customized option that they offer, you could try looking up your omelet on that (http://nc.perkinsrestaurants.com/PerkinsNC/)0
