Do you run the day before a race?

I am running in a 5k tomorrow, only my 3rd. I've been running 3 miles 6-7 days a week. I'm curious if you would take today off or still run like I normally do?

Do you think you'll wake up fresh?

Personally, I never run the day before a race. I will do a light workout in the gym to get my daily workout in, but nothing regarding running. I have a 10k tomorrow and am going to carb load today and do a light workout after work.

If your normal daily run is 3 miles I would take the day off to be well rested.

I wouldn't mind doing a little run, nice and easy, not pushing at all just go stretch my legs (and usually because I've got too much energy to just sit around).

It's a 5k race, so it shouldn't be too bad if you run a mile or two. :)

I generally do not run the day before, but if I do, it would be an easy 1-2 miles -- and I mean easy.

I have a 5K race tomorrow as well - so good luck to all those who are racing!

Not sure, I don't normally run until afternoon. So I guess I better take off today.

    Thanks for all the input!!!
