Do the calories count if... (NSFL)

Okay, so for the first time in AGES, after visiting BD's Mongolian BBQ for lunch, it shot right through me after I got back to work.

I was entering the ingredients into MFP and it occurred to me... Does it really count if I didn't actually *absorb* any of it?

Please discuss.

    Thanks for sharing!

    I'd count the calories, but create an exercise that offsets the calories lost.

    Use this equation:

    logged = (calories/#minutes til BM) * 2

    Do you have a double-blind randomized study to back up that equation??!?!?!?!?

    :wink:

    Depends on the consistency in which it came out in. If it was thick and chunky I wouldn't log it all. Looks like your body didn't have time to digest any of it.. If it is watery and runny. I would say log at least 3/4 of it. Which means your body broke down a good portion of it but some just shot right out your bunghole. Hope that helps.

    Huh. Since you started it, it was more like "whoosh, whoosh, braap, firehose."

    WELL past the "oh what a relief" point.

    My personal rule is when my body is shooting things from either end like that... I give up on logging for that day.

    Interestingly enough I have this same question about sunflower seeds. If they are in the same condition out as in, do the calories count?
