Well here I go - the start to the new me! My biggest problem is when I get home from work. I'm great during the day - I pack healthy food and don't stray, but when I get home it's like another being has taken over my body. Whilst getting dinner ready for the family and then packing the kids' lunches for the following day I eat......especially bread. Hopefully MFP will give me the tools to stay strong and not give into temptation!!

Yep, I know exactly what you mean. It takes will power, easier said than done I know. Anyway, all the best on your journey. You can do this...

I'm fairly new myself. I just joined a few days ago. I have much further to go than you do, but would love to give/receive support. We can all use a good support system.
  • My husband used to have do Weight Watchers and he found that the evenings were the toughest for him. So, he would budget his points so that he would have plenty then. Breakfasts and lunches were super light, peanut butter toast for bfast and chicken noodle soup and a piece of fruit for lunch, that light. Then he knew he could enjoy a hearty dinner and still have points for ice cream (slow churned) and some other snack as well. Maybe this will help you.
  • I feel that way too but I try to focus on why im doing this and I don't want to undo all the hard work I have done throughout the day. Im new on here so anyone feel free to add me I need as much help as I can get x

I joined in February and in a few hours I will weigh in. Last Saturday I was down 13.5 lbs and 4 3/4". In the beginning I was like you, easy to eat good during the day, but then after getting home it was harder. Then I started eating light during the day and saving the majority of my calories for the evening. I usually have 700+ calories for the evening. I eat low calorie foods 75% of the time. It takes time to get used to balancing out your calorie intake, but make sure you count EVERYTHING you eat.

My goal is to lose 75 lbs or more, but I take 1 day at a time and if I have a craving for something I eat it. 99% of the time I am under my calorie goal, so if I go over once in a while I don't worry about it. I have never had the will power to lose weight and before I couldn't stick to a diet for more than 3 days. So to me any weight loss is good, but I want to meet my goal and prove that I can do it.

I wish you all the luck......be sure that you read some of the forums that MFP has, they keep me motivated when I want to give up.
