fitness mode vs fat burning mode on hrm???HELP

i just got my hrm....polar ft7. im wondering....do i want to be in fitness mode for most of time or fat burning??? whats the difference??? how do i stay in one or the other??? after my workouts it is telling me i am in fitness mode for majority of the time. is this good or bad??? hopefully someone can help me out here!!!

    It really doesn't matter.

    The different zones are misleading - one my be more efficient at burning calories, but you're still burning calories, so go at whatever rate allows to to complete your workout.

    you will burn twice as many calories in fitness mode, i try to keep my hr above 115 and my fitness mode starts at like 135 or so:)

    While there is a fat burning zone, that is, a work zone where a higher percentage of the total calories burned is from fat, the problem is a person burns very little calories working at that rate. At a higher intensity the percentage of calories burned specifically from fat is lower, but the total calorie burn is MUCH higher and even at the lower percentage of fat burned, it still burns more fat total than working out in the fat burning zone. The take away from this is don't worry about the zones. If you want to know more google "myth of the fat burning zone" and you will find lots of articles that explain this, some in much more detail.
