Hi everyone! I just started this one week ago. I purchased Nutrisystem and the food taste like cardboard. Needless to say it was returned. Now, I am going it on my own with the help of this site and the calorie tracker. I think I'm doing okay. Time will tell!

You don't need the Nutrasystem food. It's nice because it already comes packaged and counted for you but that's about it.
You can figure out your own menus, it will just take a little time. :-)
I love this site, it's so easy and I always free supported. If I'm having a bad day, I can read a few posts and feel 100% better.

It will get easier...I promise! I thought I was going to die the first 2 1/2 weeks. Then I ended up losing 19 pounds! Just keep your calories in check. It doesn't mean you can never eat what you want, you just have to limit your portions. I always used to think that losing/maintaining weight was all exercise, but now I know it's 95% calorie intake and a 5% exercise.

Yes you can do this. It does take time, lots of time and planning. Start off with cutting all Sodas and when you snack choose foods that are fat and sugar free. I eat chocolate pudding everyday, I gotta have my fix! Do not give up. Oh write things down on this site will help you very much. I also found people very supportive. They say support is so important when loosing weight. I also found looking for members that have my weight to loose very modivational especially people who are close to goal. Good luck to u.0

Thanks everyone for the support! Today was the beginning of my second week. I started last Tuesday. Weigh in today showed 8 lbs lost. I'm sure it is a lot of water weight and it will slow down this week, but that's okay. As long as it keeps coming off. The calorie counter is GREAT!0
