A Question For Women

Has anyone ever said to you "You have such a beautiful face?" meaning it as a sincere compliment....however you want to push them into on going traffic for implying (unintentionally of course) that the other 90% of you is all down hill.
I was just curious. Do you take it as a compliment and smile or do you roll your eyes?

Haha no, I haven't had the *must push into traffic* urge...to be honest I would just take it as a compliment and move on! I never get face compliments though, it always seems to be on the below the neck part that I get comments! (and my smile and hair) other than that, I would love to hear "nice face" instead of "nice..." well, you can guess lol0

I think it depends on how the women thinks, so results may vary.
Buuuuuuut For me I would love to be told that, and I wouldn't assume that the rest of me was negative at all.0 -
Mybeach, Doesn't that make you want to smack someone? Iol0
-
That speaks volumes about the girl receiving the compliment...severe body image issues, for certain!!0

I personally think compliments are nice no matter what. It is how the guys acts after the compliment that is a deal breaker.0

The part where they compliment your body (unless it is a very smooth compliment) lol0

if its something along the lines of "youre gorgeous/stunning/beautiful" etc its appreciated but not very original=no extra points
if its something like "nice-insert ASSet of choice" I will probably laugh in their face and ignore them=shut down, game over
if he says "your eyes sparkle or you look really fit or i love your" i will probs melt=you win, mission accomplished
andddd if they say something good about my personality, well, thats the automatic end game lolz0 -
kinda an insult its what i always used to get when i was heavier except they would finish it You have such a pretty face if you'd only lose weight _____ would happen.0
-
Yes, I get that alot. It is nice to hear, but I agree with katieallen7, kind of an insult too. Sometimes I think people say that to me as a way to hint at me to lose weight. I am working at it! LOL0

I take any and all compliments with a gracious smile and a "thank you".0

Totally depends on the situation, context and person handing out the "compliment". For example whether it is given from a guy in a bar environment or someone in an art class setting.0
