I haven't done chalean extreme, but I've done P90X so I can't really compare the two, but I can tell you that P90X will help you build/retain muscle as it has done that for me0

I've done both programs. Loved both.
I admit to having a hard time transitioning to CLX from P90X but in the end lifting heavy has paid off!

I'm sure they both work great. I did clx and got great results0

I did P90x and it's great for everyone. However it is very extreme, but so are the results.0

So CLX is heavier lifting than P90x? I thought P90x would have been harder.0 -
Both are great program, and both can give you the results you want. They are more similar, then they are different
I have done both, I personally Like P90X better, because I prefer Tony, and his training style better. But you can get the same type of results from Chalenes Program, as well, if you push yourself.
It really depends more on the trainer you like, style you like better etc.
I think for me, P90X was a bit more effective, both can create a good amount of lean muscle if you use low reps, and heavier weights. But I like the extra push ups and pullup that are done in P90x, because that something I want to work on - and it does amazing things for my back ,core and shoulders.
P90X is also a bit more advanced (IMO) then Chalenes. Which is the type of challenge I need,
Ether program would be a good choice.0 -

Thank you! I may go with Chalean because I am not mentally ready for 60 minutes of Tony, or pull ups. Maybe if I do Chalean I will feel confident enough to try P90x.0 -
I own P90X, and I can't get into it. I have a friend who went through Chalean Extreme and is in her second round of it--she loves it. Take that as you will.0

I just started Chelean ... I think its a good start to getting muscle... later if you feel stronger try p90... but how is Turbo Fire going for you?0

Personally, I don't think strength matters. You can push yourself as hard as you want in either workout. I prefer Chalene Extreme because it's only 36 minutes, while P90x is like 50.0

I have done both and like Chalean Extreme better. I just like Chalene's style and the length of the workouts are no longer then an hour. It's just an individual choice - both of them will push you and you'll get results. Just make sure you follow the nutrition guide.0
