HITT and Calories Burned/ Recording in Diary

Hello you HIIT folks, just wondering how you record exercise in your diary?

For example, I do 30seconds fast skipping (jump rope) : 20seconds high knee marching repeated 20 times
Would you enter 10mins rope jumping, FAST and 6mins of marching separately or enter a rough average - say 15min of rope jumping, MODERATE - as skipping is the intended exercise and marching is so I can catch my breath but keep the heart rate up.
I also do a jumping jack/ jogging on the spot combo

Hope that makes sense :) Just curious what you do really! Any advice is appreciated

I use my Polar heart rate .. and put my zone above 90% and the watch calculates how many minutes I am in the zone /per workout. :)

I'd probably work out how many cals each section of the workout burnt, add them up then average it out over a minute. Then add it as a new exercise so you can just use that each day.

+1. I do this too - HRM are your best bet for HIIT. its just too inaccurate otherwise.
